    Are linen closets necessary?

It's not necessary to have a linen closet, however, a place to store extra towels and linens is helpful. When the storage solution is not built-in, alternative options are available.

Most older homes do not have a built-in closet for this type of storage forcing homeowners to think outside the box for creative storage solutions.

What belongs in a linen closet?

Linen closets store bathroom accessories such as bath towels, hand towels and face cloths as well as spare bed sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers.

In the main cabinet, we used baskets to divide up our linens based on size. In the top two drawers, we store all our extra pillowcases.
