Hello, We are Greg and Aly!
Welcome to Iekel Road Home, a place where we share our passion for designing on a thrifty budget. We like to share our room makeovers, diy plans, how to tutorials, the occasional recipe and our thrifty finds.
A Little About Greg
Greg grew up in a family full of licensed electricians, working for his dad during summer break since the age of ten. Now a licensed plumber, proficient in electrical, he is really just a 'jack of all trades'. Greg is basically the main reason we can do most of our DIY projects.
A little About Aly
Aly grew up caring about one thing and and one thing only until the age of nineteen... soccer. Why nineteen? Well that's when Greg and Aly started dating, and when Aly had to pick what she was going study at college. Aly graduated from college as a graphic designer and worked for five years until becoming a full time stay-at-home mom. This is when Aly's love of design turned from graphics to home related.
A little about Us
Now situated in Southwestern, Ontario with our two girls, and one boy; our angel baby. Our blog is named after where our story officially began, where Greg proposed to Aly back in 2008. We have been married for 10 years and the projects list keeps growing.
This blog was started to share our passion with you. We enjoy working together making our house a home, and would love for you to come along as we share how we design on a thrifty budget.
