Shared Girls' Bedroom Before
Our girls haven't always shared a room but when we moved here almost 4 years ago it was their one request. Their bedroom is a very generous size, so it made a perfect shared bedroom space.
This was the first room in the house that we did anything to because of the carpet. The girls spent a better part of a month coughing the night away until we figured out that it was the carpet doing all the damage.
Greg and I committed to purchasing flooring just for them so that we could tear out the carpet. To our surprise, there were beautiful original hardwood floors underneath.
So phase one for the shared girls' bedroom was complete with a fresh coat of paint and carpet removal.

Boho Shared Girls Bedroom Design Plans
After enjoying the girls' bedroom for a while now we have come across a few upgrades that we need to make. Some of our plans include adding curtains for those cool winter nights, adding a larger rug that will fit under both beds and won't move when you step on it.

We are hoping to build a custom shelving unit for in between the beds that we span a little further and sit up off the ground.

As for the rest of the room, there are a few improvements needed; storage for under the nook as well as custom doors to finish off the closet space.

Once we get the door up we can use the shelves and hooks for the girls' artwork and backpacks!
We are excited to finish off this space for the winter months. We usually spend a bit more time inside during the winter and what better way to start off winter than with a cozy new bedroom space.
